Our Mission Statement at MHS is
Motivated, Happy and Successful learners.

Our School will be friendly, secure and challenging. Our students will be recognised and treated as individuals. Our expectations of every student will be high - personally, socially, academically and vocationally. Students will be encouraged to grow into happy, motivated and successful learners with an increasing sense of responsibility and self-discipline.

Parents

Our School will make its aims and purposes widely known, to all existing and prospective parents. We aim to delight our parents. We welcome dialogue and will respond speedily to the needs of parents. We will consult with them regularly and will actively encourage open access and parental involvement.

Staff

Our School will provide leadership based upon consistently applied and agreed values. We will give high quality personal and professional support; provide opportunities for staff development, and value the contribution and achievement of all staff. We will seek to create a sense of belonging and common purpose.

Governors

The Governors will work in an open and constructive partnership with the staff. They will be responsible for maintaining the School's performance and driving up standards. They will support, guide and advise; will actively engage in the work of the School; will agree effective policies and review them, and will ensure a clean, safe environment which is conducive to the highest quality education.

Primary Schools

Our School will work closely and actively with our partner primary schools to achieve continuity in the education and care of the individual child and family.

Further and Higher Education

Our School will liaise closely with all institutes of further and higher education to secure the best placement for each student. We will provide motivated, well-qualified students who have a positive attitude and are well informed about continuing their education.

Employers

Our School will promote a quality partnership with employers to our mutual benefit.

The Community

Our School will be active and caring within the community, encouraging responsible citizenship in all our students. We will endeavor to be an asset and a source of  pride and community cohesion.
