The Scary Guy Visits Macclesfield!

The Scarey GuyThe Scary Guy will be visiting Macclesfield High School on Monday 6th October.  He will be spending the day talking to students from primary and secondary schools across the whole of the Macclesfield and Bollington area about the dangers of prejudice and hatred.  At a presentation that evening, he will pass on his message to parents, governors, community police officers, youth workers and others.

When students meet a fully tattooed giant named The Scary Guy, it will be a day they will never forget!  They will be challenged to take a good look at themselves and shown how they can take full responsibility for all of their own behaviour in the form of words and actions seen as Energy.

The Scary Guy is a former tattoo artist from America who legally changed his name in 1998 after a rival tattoo artist ran a full page advert asking, “Are you tired of dealing with scary guys with war paint facial tattoos”.  Today he uses his striking appearance to challenge the stereotypes people label him with when they first see him.  For the last ten years, Scary has travelled non-stop around the world, working with schools, police forces, the military, different religions and a host of communities and corporate organisations, delivering his programmes to over 7 million people worldwide.

The Scary Guy teaches each individual that they have the capacity to interact with all human behaviour with love, compassion and understanding – even in the face of negative words or actions – without themselves becoming negative in that process.  As part of his mission to rid the world of hatred, he has helped thousands of troubled children.

Scary is unique in his capacity to reach audiences of all ages and backgrounds.  His delivery is uncompromising and his message is true.  At Macclesfield High School we look forward to providing the students of the Macclesfield and Bollington Education Improvement Partnership with a valuable opportunity to learn lifelong skills which will enable them to interact with all human behaviour with love, compassion and understanding.

Scary has already delivered his message in many UK towns and cities and is often invited back the next year.  This is paid for by organisations such as the Police or the Youth Service, who see the huge benefits of his work.
