Nanotechnology Expert Brings Science to Life at Macclesfield High School!

Macclesfield High School was delighted to welcome Teresa Wong (from Aim Higher Cheshire and Warrington) who gave an illuminating presentation and workshop to students in Years 10 and 11 which looked at what nanotechnology is and how we are using nanotechnology in our lives today.

Enthusiastic students made models of nano-particles such as buckminster fullerene – something they had never even before heard of!   Students found that the workshop (which formed part of their core and additional science courses) brought Science to life and Ms Wong’s contribution helped them to see the importance of science in our 21st century.
