Year 7 students at Macclesfield High School were given the opportunity to gain an insight into how to become a successful author when Sophie McKenzie, award winning author of the best selling book, ‘Girl Missing’, visited the school on Friday 22nd January.
Students were given the opportunity to ask questions about her inspiration and methods as an author. They were told how she came up with the ideas for her characters and her plots.
Sophie talked in detail about her latest book, ‘The Hostage’, which is the second book in the series, ‘The Medusa Project’, a gripping thriller in which teenagers with special psychic powers work undercover for the Government.
Students left the hall, many of then clutching their precious signed copies, full of appreciation and praise for the author. In turn Sophie complimented the students on their original and interesting questions and how much she had enjoyed her visit to Macclesfield High School.
