Help MHS Achieve Eco School Status

We are going for eco schools status here at MHS, trying to become a greener, more sustainable school.  To help with this we have a new Eco-schools Committee, Mission Statement and Eco Code.  These are:-

Our School's Eco Code

Our aim is to make our society more eco-friendly and have a greater awareness of our carbon footprint.  We wish to promote the image of a greener, healthier, more sustainable school.  We want to change the little things that add up to have a massive effect on our world.  We also want to reach out to the wider community and change attitudes to energy saving and recycling.  We want to stamp out the throw away generation.  For after all, we do not inherit the earth from our fathers but borrow it from our children.

This eco code was chosen because it encapsulates our aims and goals for sustainability at MHS.  Congratulations to Amy Rose Barber and Katie Jones for coming up with it.
