Pastoral Support

From time to time, every student may need extra support to help them to be Motivated, Happy and Successful.  This may be support with their work, or with their relationships (either in school and at home), or other personal matters.

We have a well-developed pastoral support system.

Tutors offer the first line of support to the students in their tutor group.

Our Heads of House (shown above right) can also help.  They do not have any teaching commitment and so are available all the time – except when they are supporting someone else!

Our Directors of Learning are attached to each of the three Houses.  Other senior staff will also offer support to students.

We also have excellent relations with agencies outside school such as the Connexions Service (for careers advice) and the Education Welfare Service.

Our Connexions Personal Advisors are based in school for most of the week and they can be telephoned on 01625 383100 and also on 383140.

Our Education Welfare Officer (EWO) is Ms Susie Sheasby and she can be contacted through school or on 01625 374986.
