| Coursework: | Unit 2: Drama Exploration 2: (30%) Students explore the play Blood Brothers and gain knowledge and understanding about how playwrights, performers and directors use the medium of drama to communicate ideas to an audience. Their practical work is assessed and this is supported by a portfolio of documentary evidence. |
| Content of Course: | Students have the opportunity to develop a range of performance and technical skills through devising and scripted work and will complete their first piece of coursework. |

| Assessment: | Drama Performance Exam: (40%). This is externally examined. Students have the opportunity to demonstrate their skills as performers or in a theatre craft using stimulus material for performance. |
| Coursework: | Unit 1: Drama Exploration 1: (30%). Internally marked and externally moderated. Students use Drama to explore ideas and issues in response to stimulus material selected from different times and cultures. Their practical work is assessed and this is supported by a portfolio of documentary evidence. |
