Year 7


Assessment:

All students are assessed after each unit, their progress is tracked and they will be awarded a final end of year level.

Content of Course:

Students receive one hour per week of discrete ICT in KS3. The scheme of work broadly follows the National ICT Strategy and covers a wide range of software and ICT skills.

Year 8


Assessment:

NC Levels: Most students are expected to achieve at least a level 5 in ICT by the end of Key Stage 3, and have progressed by at least one level on Key Stage 2.

Assessment:

The students produce a portfolio of work which is regularly assessed. Each student's progress is tracked and they will be awarded a final end of Year level.

NC Levels: Most students are expected to achieve at least a level 5 in ICT by the end of Key Stage 3 and have progressed by at least one level on Key Stage 2.

Students receive one hour per week of discrete ICT in Key Stage 3. The scheme of work broadly follows the National ICT Strategy. This includes creating a range of documents and developing ICT skills across a wide range of software packages.

Coursework: The course is assessed entirely through an interactive electronic portfolio or e-portfolio.
Content of Course:

During the 'paperless' course students develop a range of ICT skills which are used to electronically submit their interactive e-portfolios. Students can be entered for Level 1 or Level 2 and will be awarded a grade of Distinction, Merit, Credit or Pass.
